"Arrogance"

Stone Brewery Co. is a beer brewery located in Escondido, California and was founded in 1996 in San Marcos, California. Stone Brewery is most well known for its Arrogant Bastard Ale (shown to the right) and its overall 'hoppy' craft of beer.

Although Stone Brewery is not as well known as Coors or Corona, they have often been rated as one of the best brewers in the United States on websites such as RateBeer.com and BeerAdvocate.com.

Now getting specifically to the Arrogant Bastard Ale. Arrogant Bastard Ale is an American Strong Ale that nearly taunts the consumer to buy and drink the beer. Arrogant Bastard is 7.2% per volume  making it a beer that will surely knock you on your ass after a few.

"This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it." The best marketing strategy used by Stone is that they actually make no promises. They basically urge the consumer not to purchase their product because they are probably a fan of "tasteless fizzy yellow beer." As they pester their customers on the back of their most popular beer, they also poke at all the multi-million dollar brewing company's that pretend that their beer is specially made in a small brewery. The ad is so effective because it truly gets into the head of anyone reading it, convincing them in a psychology breakdown to buy and attempt to drink and enjoy the hoppy, overwhelming taste of Arrogant Bastard Ale.

Luckily I have never been the guy to enjoy tasteless fizzy yellow beer and thoroughly respect and enjoy all Stone brewed beers. Arrogant Bastard is not the only beer Stone has. On top of their many other choices they also have special beers available in certain seasons. I recommend going to dinner at the brewery in Escondido as soon as you can.

Various Rolls and Sashimi
In my opinion, Sushi is the greatest Japanese dish introduced to the states and even the world. Sushi is a Japanese dish containing cooked rice topped with numerous other ingredients such as fish and other types of seafood's. Most often Sushi is served in a roll of cooked rice and often wrapped in dried seaweed. Also very common is sliced raw fish on it's own which is called Sashimi. Overall Sushi is very good for your body and health, providing many needed antioxidants to keep you healthy.

California Roll
When I was younger it was difficult for me to appreciate the delicious taste of fresh fish. Over the years of numerous dining experiences at various sushi bars with my family, I grew to accept and even enjoy the taste of a scrumptious sushi dinner. Like most new sushi eaters, I enjoyed mainly the "California Roll", consisting of avocado, imitation crab, cucumber and tobiko, wrapped in dried seaweed and cooked rice. This generic roll seemed to be heaven for me at the time, however I did not know that there was so much more out there.

Masuo's, Solana Beach
Once my parents introduced me to special sushi rolls at Masuo's Sushi Restaurant in Solana Beach, I knew my love for sushi would never be the same. Over the next several years sushi chef "Shep", introduced me to all different types of decadent, mouth-watering sushi rolls. Nowadays when I enter the restaurant no menu is provided for me. Instead Sheppard fixes up anything he deems delicious and serves it to me. In turn our family provides him with all the Sake shots and beers he desires for the time we are there.

I wish I could describe the rolls that are made there but he will never tell me the names. Sheppard rarely tells me what is in them. I suggest this Japanese dish and restaurant to everyone. I love sushi!
